Varmoda LLC is committed to making varmoda.com usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology. Accessibility is part of how Varmoda builds for government, where accessible technology is a requirement rather than an afterthought, and it applies the same standard to its own site.

Varmoda aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and to meet the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act as applied to the information it publishes. Those standards cover things like text alternatives, keyboard access, color contrast, and content that adapts to different screen sizes and orientations.

This site is built with semantic HTML and a logical heading order so screen readers can navigate it. Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard with a visible focus indicator. Text and interface colors are chosen to meet contrast requirements against their backgrounds. Forms use visible labels, mark required fields, and describe errors in text rather than color alone. Layouts reflow to a single column on small screens without loss of content, and motion and transitions are reduced automatically for visitors whose systems request reduced motion.

Accessibility is continuous rather than a one-time exercise. Varmoda reviews new pages and features as they are built, tests with keyboard navigation and screen readers, and corrects issues as it finds them. Third-party content Varmoda embeds, such as its candidate portal, is controlled by the provider, and it works with those providers where it finds barriers.
